Deer Hunting Information

  • Available Hunts
    • Management Buck – A 3½ + buck that scores up to 139 7/8 Boone & Crockett (B&C) points
    • Trophy Buck – A Mature Buck that scores 140+ (B&C)
  • Fees for the 2022-2023 hunting season
    • Booking Fee – 3 Day Hunt: $1,500 (Non-refundable) per hunter. Due within 2 weeks of confirmation. (credited against any Trophy fee due)

      • Management Buck- No Additional fees if harvested in addition to a 150+ B&C trophy buck

    • Trophy Fee Schedule:
      • All scoring is based on Boone & Crockett (B&C) gross “green” score as determined by the ranch manager during the assigned hunting period.
      • 140 to 149 7/8 B&C – $4,000-$4,900($100/inch over 140)
      • 150 to 159 7/8 B&C – $5,000-$5,900 ($100/inch over 150)
      • 160 to 169 7/8 B&C – $6,500-$7,400 ($100/inch over 160)
      • 170 to 179 7/8 B&C – $7,500-$8,400 ($100/inch over 170)
      • 180 to 189 7/8 B&C – $8,500-$9,400 ($100/inch over 180)
      • 190 to 199 7/8 B&C – $9,500-$10,400 ($100/inch over 190)
      • 200 to 209 7/8 B&C -$10,500-$12,300 ($200/inch over 200)
      • 210 to 219 7/8 B&C – $12,500-$14,300 ($200/inch over 210)

    • Other Fees
      • Wounded Deer-If a deer is wounded (evidence by either blood, bone or tissue) but un-recovered, it will be assumed that the animal was mortally wounded and your guide will estimate the score of the wounded deer and the appropriate fee will apply.
      • Tracking Dogs for wounded Deer- If dogs are required in an attempt to recover a wounded deer, the hunter shall be responsible for this cost.
      • Immature Deer- If you harvest a deer that was not qualified by your guide and it is determined to be immature there will  e a $1,000 penalty fee.
    • Optional Fees
      • Additional Days- If hunter desires a longer hunting period, an extra charge of $250 per day will be applied if schedule permits
      • Non-hunting guest- Any guest accompanying hunters are welcomed at a $150 per day fee.
      • Tipping – Ranch personnel
      • Guides – $50 to $100 a day is customary
      • Cooks – $50 to $100 a weekend is customary
    • ALL FEE BALANCES ARE DUE BEFORE DEPARTURE BY CASH OR MONEY ORDER ONLY.

    • If you choose to harvest a buck that has broken tines, it will be scored based on the measurements for the corresponding antler or tines from the other side which will be substituted when scoring the deer.
    • Boone & Crockett (B&C) – Is the scoring system by which antlers are measured.
    • Green- It is a term that is used to describe the antlers when a buck is first harvested.
    • Mature Buck- Is defined as a buck that is 5 ½ + years of age, which is determined by his body composition and examination of h s lower jaw.
    • Immature Buck- Is defined as a buck that is 4 ½ or younger, which is determined by his body composition and examination of his lower jaw.
    • Scoring-All scoring of antlers will be done by a ranch representative.
    • Aging- All aging of animals will be done by a ranch representative.
    • Day Hunt – Consists of a morning and afternoon hunt. A total of 6 hunting periods, which must be utilized within a consecutive 72 hour period, is considered a 3 day hunt .
